Pretty much anything that comes from World Net Daily should be taken with a grain of salt. But going after gun shops (and arms manufacturers, and ammo distributors) does seem like a logical step the anti-2A folks would take.

If petty sh*t is going on and the gummint is denying licenses to longstanding shops based on insignificant typos, there will be hell to pay and law suits out the wazoo. Can anyone confirm this really is happening on a large(-ish) scale?

Well, WND or not, we've already seen the false rev. Jackson and his false priest partner try to shut down a gun shop outside Chicago. I don't see any reason why a tyrannical bureaucrat who hates our liberty might not try to disarm us by blocking all avenues of purchase. Sure, we'd have the right to arms, just no way to obtain them.

Heh. There's always a way to get that which is in demand. Hasn't the "war on drugs" proved that? Prohibition does not work.

If this turns out to be a trend -- many shops getting hurt or closed down from b.s. like that described in the article -- then that's a real concern.
