So most of you who know me (I don't post much anymore, time is short) know that I started making custom grips for the 938 after a suggestion from another member. Well I'm always playing around with other ideas and wanted to see what yall think about these. Mind you, all of these are prototypes and some of them have multiple ideas merged into one set. I'll explain them via photo

This set is done in an imitation Ivory color, with a gold inlay into the sig logo. I've played with other colors, gold for some reason is the easiest. I remember those beautiful Colt SAA's back in the day with Silver finish, gold inlays and engraving to die for. Pretty simple idea though

This one was a multi-test unit. I was trying different backset colors to see what would look good. What I found is the thicker paints don't do well insetting. The thinner paints sat better in place. But ignoring that, I then ran a gold trim around the checkered sections. Just a thought to try.

Just a closer different angle of the first ones.

I have been working on maybe a clear set, and with that I could also do any color by dying material during production. These types of grips would be far lower than the wood grips I make and sell.

    Thoughts?

exactly. i think simpler is better. the gold inlay works well with the color by itself.

i think they look quite nice too.

Yes. Keep it simple. I think black or silver lettering would look great as well.

    Nice work.

Well, I'd need to know which dark brown walnut you are talking about. I've done several hundred sets at this point and they all kinda blur together after a few weeks have passed. Link the photo of hte one you are talking about to this page so I'm sure on the right one. There are a few woods that were single orders and there was only one set made. But I can always find more wood of a particular style if needed
