Well, a nice lady from the BATFE was here last week, and she said I will have my FFL01 in about a month. I was surprised at how easy the process was. Well, except paying the fees, of course. Still and all, it has been pretty smooth thus far.

I'm a very good recordkeeper, so I'm not intimidated by any of that, but I'm open to any advice any of you veteran FFL people might offer.

WEll, am an 03 (collector) and not an 01 (Dealer) but- go to the ATF website in your spare time, and run thru some of their training tutorials (like straw man sales) Also, stop by auctionarms.com, and post a question on the sellers forum. Find wholesalers that you like doing business with, and gunpartscorp.com (Numrich) and Brownells, and send them all a copy of your FFL- they give discounts to dealers. Register at auctionarms.com, and gunbroker.com- lotsa good customers. And if you are in doubt- don't.

Have you received your FFL yet?? If so, how are you doing with it?

I did indeed receive my FFL01, and in record time it seems. I've made a couple sales, and I am thinking of opening a store. I even got my NICS mouse pad.... your tax dollars at work!
