New Dakota .357 need parts

    anyone know where to get a 'Handspring assembly' for a New Dakota .357?
    e-gunparts is out..

    What kind of hand spring is it? Coil or flat? Go to Numrich schematics and find the one that most closely matches. Then try several of the importer's sites.

    I just went through possibilities and couldn't find any replacements. Have you tried a Colt hand assembly? All the schematics show the assembly sold complete, the spring not being sold separately.

    Maybe you gunsmith might have that part in his "goodies" bin?

    P.S. You might try making the spring from a spring binder clip.

    Thanks Bob, Ya its a flat spring. Buying the whole assembly will probably be the best bet - or try to make one out of smoething is definately an option . Think I may just have to take your advice and start digging into some local gunsmiths parts boxes!
