I have a new Beretta M9 same as 92 FS. The 3 dots were hard for me to see so I installed a new rear 2 dot combat sight.

It is higher that the fixed front sight and I am shooting high.

I brought it to my gunsmith to figure out what to do.

It needs some type of a cap on the front sight to raise it up.

Or maybe the rear sight is just too high.

    Any thoughts from anyone?
    Thanks

When you state you put a 2 dot setup, did you just use a standard M9 rear sight?

This is the sight picture on a standard 92 - Sight picture #3:

Even with a 2 dot setup, you need to COVER the target with the front dot.

If you used some other type of rear sight, you need to try an get a standard M9 rear sight (the 92 and M9 actually use the exact same rear sight now - they just put the white paint into a different location)

How long did it take for you to get your slides back? It's been over three weeks for mine already and I live in Illinois and Tooltech is in Michigan. Every time I call the woman just says the beginning of next week. Driving me nuts.

Three weeks total the first time, two weeks total the second time. That included my shipping time to them...

    Thanks

What, the night sights at Tooltech gunsight?

It's $150 + $17.50 return shipping. They put a new rear sight with tritium in it. And, they drill the front sight and drop a tritium insert into it.
