Just got back from the Raleigh Gun Show. CMP still has the best prices on M1 Garands but I found this Enfield No. 4 MK. 1* for $250 with plastic case. No cleaning kit though. No biggie, this'll be a shooter.

Nice looking rifle. The ones in my area go for about the same price, but theyre not in as good of a condition as that one.

Just fired my brother's a bit on Saturday and yours is ten times better-looking. You might one day even consider the tough little Jungle Carbine.

A guy with the Juncle C. was startled by a charging grizzly and stopped it in the nick of time with four very quick, accurate shots. A very good shot and a very smooth action.
Nerves of steel. That kind of guy would have been really good at Normandy's Pointe du Hoc in '44.

Thanks for the responses! Now I have a .303 british, a 7.62x39mm, and a7.62x54r, and not a damn place to shoot any of 'em! I'm still waiting for a range that's supposed to open up this month with a 200 yd. range.
