Picked up a Delton today new in the box $900 plus tax. I was the first
call on the list. 16" barrel, adjustable butt stock, flat top upper.

Niiiiiiice, Im a big fan of the flat top, bare bones build. Nice and clean, blank canvas. Thats what Im gonna get for my 1st AR.

It's tough to guess whether you did really well or just get passing marks at that price. But I think DelTon, along with S&W, PSA, Stag, and a few others are often among the best options when it comes to low-medium cost ARs.

I think the market is gradually regaining some measure of normality. The other day I saw a decent new RRA complete rifle stay in stock on a site @ $1035 for a few hours.

If there is no impending ban (likely); you probably did okay, but not great. Hard to tell without specifics. But if a ban actually materializes in the coming months (UNlikely), you win in a big way.

Either way, I think you probably got a really solid rifle at a less than crazy price. I've been impressed with the quality:cost ratio of most of the DelTons I've handled.

    As required...

My buddy is begging me for it, will likely sell it to him, he needs it
to mount his night vision scope to it...

I've owned a Delton MagPul MOE beofre. MSRP for just under 900 bucks.I now own a S&W MP15 Magpul MOE MSRP $1260
    .

    Little difference between the 2.
Both have flaws, the Delton had poor finiss on the receiver and a dubious mount of the piatinny on the receiver. the S&W has a crooked (no kidding) front sight post..

Both bolts where MPI both barrels where 4150 but the Delton was CL bore and chamber and the MP15 was melonited.
roughly equivalent guns for a big price difference.I may publish a full comparo when I have the time.

Either way, Delton is good especially for the money. :)

Dont feel like the lone stranger , My FSP is crooked on my newest SBR build :( no biggy irons still hit where I aim and most of the parts on it are used and really its a beater gun for me :)

    Pure,

yes the gun still takes a zero for me.
Tho the FSP is off to the right.. and the way I shoot i correect to the right as well.
So the cumulitave effect has the MBUS adjusted waaayy to the right.

Still a brand new suppsoed "Military and Police" gun for real users not plinkers from a suppsoed major brand anme its unimpressive.

of course I got asweetheart deal on it so I cannot complain.

I picked it up at the height of this bubble (6 weeks ago) brand new form store for 967 Bucks in the active duty/LEO program.

They offered me an addtional 100 dollar rebate from S&W factory but I refused, felt kinda bad for being singled out for preferential treatment for my hoice of employment when other citizens have to wait and pay more.

had I know the gun had the flaw I would have acepted it so I an get it fixed. I dont want to hassle with sending it to SW for 60 bucks worth of labor.

Delton is JUNK. You got screwed at the price you paid. I paid just over $1000 for my Colt LE6920.

same deal here my rear sight always seems to zero to the right on all my ARs so maybe this will correct it a bit and be closer to center . Not really a big deal to me and its just a little to the left but truly cant believe stuff like this even leaves the factories looking like that . A friend of mine bought a new Colt paid $1200 before the surge of course and the lower looks like a blem ? Almost like it wasnt cleaned before the anodizing was done , very spotty , He didnt care it functions like it should and he isnt a cosmetic freak either but when you pay that kind of money you expect it to look like new . :( . I know that happens to most all companies every now and then but you would think they would check stuff better than they do and then the complaints wouldnt be out here for the world to see. I know since the surge alot of companies have been cranking 24/7 and stuff slips but not like that on a big brand name item

Picked this up today for the youngest boy to shoot with,

XM15-E2S "Optic Ready" model, we when to the range and he put 150
rounds through it. I just put a cheapy red dot on it for a starter. It
    ain't to bad for a $70 optic...

The little sh1t is a good shot, put all but 10 rounds in the black at 100 yds...
