I picked up a Horus Vision 1-4x24 a few weeks ago to put on an AR. After using it a bit, I really like the entire concept of it. It gives a person much more versatility with the weapon, and can be used as a CQB sight on 1x, and can allow easier hits on distant targets when dialed up. You don't need an EOtech, Aimpoint, etc. , magnifier and mount. It's a bit pricey, at $650, but if you add up the price of the aforementioned hardware, it becomes easier to swallow. It is a well thought out scope, and well executed. It is a FFP scope, and at 1x the H-50 reticle pratically disappears, leaving a circle with very nice crosshairs, making precision shots very possible. At 4x the reticle comes to life and I've found the reticle to be excellent at providing windage and elevation points without adjusting the knobs. The illuminated reticle is a real bonus in low light. Down side is the extra weight and rather low battery life, but the illumination is only necessary in very low light situations. Couldn't find Butler Creek caps to fit it on the objective end, but a few wraps of electrical tape solved the problem nicely. A friend of mine liked the idea so much that he bought one of the Burris 1-4's for his AR.
