A buddy of mine at work has been down on his luck for the past few months. He loves to shoot his .308 so I traded him 120 rounds for an old .22 rimfire revolver he had gotten in a trade last year.

Barrel says Mod E-15 Cal 22 lr. Under the cylinder says F.I.E Miami, FL

I did a quick google at work and revealed this- GunsAmerica - FIE Model E 15 Buffalo Scout .22 LR single action revolver - FIE Pistols - Guns For Sale & Gun Auctions B"H

Looks to be the same as mine..

Can anyone guide to to a little more info.

I am very unfimiliar with wheelgun termonolgy so I am sorry.. The spring that is in the grip... It moves when you cock the hammer.. It is badly worn, and it only shoots because he wedged half a nickel inbetween it and the grip so it has a lil leverage to hold tension.

    Thanks guys!

FIE was the importer. Most of those wheel guns come from Germany. Reviews are mixed. Finding a spring will be hard. You would be better off having one made at a metal shop. You could also see if the H&R 9xx series will fit. Most of those have no loading gate, so you need to remove the cylinder to load/unload. They sold for $90.00 new, 120.00 w/ .22lr and .22WMR cylinders.

F.I.E. is Firearms Importer Exporter and they are the importer of the firearm.

I had one of those and I was more accurate if I threw the round at the target, but it is still a fun gun to shoot.

Mine was blued, and loose as could be. Parts were impossible to find, and you had to remove the cylinder to reload.

Would have been great if I could have found another one for sale, but I did not so I sold it.

I realize I did not add anything, but I kinda miss the gun, so I thought I would post (registered and everything, so this is my first post.)

Mine has a loading gate and shoots like the devil. I put 24 rounds threw it today. Was able to hit cans at 20 yards

My first self bought handgun when I turned 16 was the FIE Buffalo Scout. My mom drove me to Big5 to do the paperwork on it and we found out it was going on sale a week later. From $69 to $59! The savings would cover a brick of ammo, so I decided to wait.

My buddy bought one too. His mom was a card carrying member of Handgun Control Incorporated, but did the DROS for him to get his (also 16). Great woman.

I still have mine 27 years later, though it has not been fired in many years. It has a loading gate, and a spare set of Colt walnut grips fit it just about perfectly.

Goog'd this gun that I inherited from Dad. Never had seen it before, odd? Finaly cleaned & looked it up. This one is E15 .22LR FIE Miami #16325 stamped made in Italy. It has a loading port and is in the "model" of a Peacmaker style revolver. Photo above seems to be sim. Good thight little shooter. Thinking of re-bluing and need wood grip options, these are plastic.

I had one of these years ago. The ones that work are great, the ones that don't are paperweights. FIE did little or no quality control on these, the big problems often seen were excessive cylinder to barrel gap, and poor timing, causing the cylinder to mis-align with the barrel making it spit lead and send the slugs spinning off sideways out of the barrel. FIE kept the cost down by making the frame out of zinc, which made their larger caliber guns somewhat fragile, but worked fine for .22 - If I could find one that shot well, I would definitely buy it, its a great bargain plinker. I may just buy a pair for my twin sons.
