A family member and I were talking about his old 16ga model 12 and how much he loved the gun. When I asked him why he didn't shoot it anymore, he replied because it kept slam firing. I asked if I could take a look. Well it took every ounce of my rear end to get the breech to open and it looked like a a coal mine inside. "Well I think I found your problem. When was the last time this thing was cleaned." He responds, "Well I bought it new in the sixties and had it reblued in 75'. That was the last time it was taken apart." You haven't cleaned it since 1975?!?!?! Anyway, he didn't know how to take it apart and I can only get the barrel/mag off of it. Anyone know how to take the receiver down?
