I am trying to get the front sight post off of my Stag, and the pins will not drive out. Does anyone have a suggestion?

You have to figure out which side is the larger and force the smaller side in so the larger taper is out.

I'd also recommend removing the gas tube roll pin before you remove the FSB pins.

Drive toward the large side. Grind them flush, use a proper size short punch, get some
good solid support on the backside, and whack the punch with a serious hammer.

Standard AR front sights can be a real pain to get the pins out of.

Thanks for the advice, I followed everyone's suggestions and still did not get the pins out. I did however bend 2 punches and flatten out a third! These pins are a pain in the a$$. Again I wanted to say thanks for all f the advice and for the timely responses. It is great to have a place to go to when you really need some help and get the correct answers.
    Thanks again

As mentioned, make sure you are placing the FSB against something solid, then go with the largest punch you can find that will fit the head of the pin. Smack that sucker with a firm swing. Once you get the thicker side out it should be easier to get the rest out.

That sucks that it's taking so much effort. When I removed my RRA FSB pins they came out without much fuss.
