I was pulling my sig p938 out of my pocket holster yesterday and accidentally dropped it on the ground. It only fell about waist high but now I can't get the slide to pull back. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ed:confused:

The magazine was in but there was not a round in the chamber. I had cleared it before I walked into the den.

That's good news. Simplifies the situation a bit.
Is the guide rod jammed? Does the safety still move? Can you tell if the slide is out of alignment? Does the takedown lever move?

The safety still moves. I can't tell if the slide is out of alignment or if the takedown lever will move. I will check it when I get home today and let you know. Thank you for your help Mountainman. Ed

Well Mountainman, I got home last night and checked the takedown lever and it didn't move. So I got out the rubber mallet and gave the end of the barrel and guide rod a few taps. It worked and the slide starting just like it should. So I ran some cleaning patches around it and oiled it up. Any suggestions? or is it just range time to see if it works like before. Thanks for taking the time to respod and help. Ed

Just hit the range with it.
It was likely just bound up a bit from the impact. If there isn't any visible damage you should be good to go.
    Glad it worked out.
