    I suspect this is a Stevens 1913, but I really don't know.

    Questions:
    1. What company made this gun?
    2. Once I figure out what type of gun it is, will any of the gauged barrels work if I was going to rebuild it, or are receivers matched to a gauge?

    Thanks!

I suspect you're right- J. Stevens Arms & Tools- altho there was a somewhat incestuous relationship between Savage/Stevens/Springfield. The placement of pivot pins, and the curve where receiver mates with stock looks a lot like the 1913. There have been a couple for sale on gunbroker/ gunsamerica- match their photos to yours. This issue is likely to be the width- many had a large frame and a small frame. 12 and 16 were large, 20 and 410 small.

I figured as much. I have an h&r single 12 gauge, and this action is much thinner than that. So if I assume that this is the smaller model, a replacement Stevens barrel/stock/forend in 20 or 410 should work, right?

I'd think you'd find a working shotgun easier and cheaper than you'll find parts to restore that one.
