I want to be able to keep earplugs ready at hand with my shotgun and I figure the easiest way to do that is to find some sort of shell size case and slip it into the first slot on my sling that holds 15 shells. I suppose I could use a medicine bottle but I would really like to find something that looks a little bit cooler than that. Any ideas? I would think someone somewhere sells shells that are actually storage containers as a novelty or something.

I don't know much about shot guns or their shells but couldn't you use an empty shell case to put your ear plugs in?

It would need a cap that holds them inside... the end is open after firing it... I'm thinking a non-fired shell that the brass cap pops off would be best... quick access. I suppose you could make one but I'd really rather just buy one... if available they would have to be cheap.

I use a 16 & 12 deprime one that way your case is ventilated & they go together easier..............

Not a bad idea... but if they aren't tight and are "ventilated/loose" they may not hold together well... I just don't want to have to pick them up off the ground all the time. I assume you mean slide the 12 over the 16 with the plugs in the 16.

Not familiar with them but the choke tube cases I see online are wallet-like... if you could link what you're talking about that would be good.

i think the type he is refering to are the round ones similar to a pill bottle. try Brownell's, MidwayUSA, MidSouth Shooters Supply or CTD. they may have what you are looking for. look for the type that hold just one choke tube.

another suggestion, check with your local pharmacy and see if they could supply you with a pill container. they come in many different sizes and should be one that will fit the loop on the holder.

Yeah I've pretty much decided the single choke tube case is a myth lol... I don't see one anywhere...
