It is difficult to use Delaware's CCDW license since all three neighbors (Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey) do not recognize Delaware's CCDW license. Most of us live just minutes away from a neighboring state and our daily travels often take us across state lines. But when we do so, we cannot carry a gun, even if we have a CCDW license. We must remember to leave our guns at home. And if we are legally carrying in Delaware while away from our home, we must first go home and drop off our gun if we want to cross a state line. We are effectively denied the RIGHT to bear (carry) arms, even if we have a Delaware CCDW license. The U.S. Constitution says this right of the people shall not be infringed. It assumes the right is already there, but goes on to say it shall not be infringed. Delaware's Senators and Representative in Congress should be in favor of HB 822 - National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act. They should vote in favor of this bill to stand for us. They should recognize the fact that Delaware's CCDW license is limited by the small size of our state. They need to support Delaware, not their own agenda or the agenda of others. Let us Delawareans have a National Right-to-Carry.
