Wonder WTF Bloomberg has to say about his officers gunning down unarmed soldiers.

There is a lot suspect of that story, but clearly that detective has a history that does include being on the wrong side of people's civil liberties as evidenced by payouts in 2001 and 2008.

If this doesn't get his ass fired AND prosecuted, well, I don't know how to finish that thought - but if there was no weapon in the car and the witness is believable in her testimony, his ass ought to get the needle.

IMHO, the money quote. It seems to me that if they wish to be treated like police, they should behave better. Act like a bunch douchebags, the public will assume that's what you are.

Cops like this are doing a terrible disservice to themselves, their fellow cops and society as a whole. Trust in government in general is extremely low. Faith that cops will do the right thing is steadily being eroded because of stories like this. The unintended consequence of douchebags on power trips could get really ugly.

As for this particular cop, if he shot an unarmed guy in cold blood, he should lose everything and spend the next 30 years in prison getting his mind (and backside) expanded.

Chalk up another one to the GNB...

Wouldn't it be a shame if it turned out

that this gaurdsman voted for Bloomberg in the last

    election?

Perhaps Bloomberg should consider starting a group called:

"Mayors Against Police Guns", in order to attempt to save

    his own constituency...

Thats just another reason why I wont go to NYC, I dont relate to our downstate barnacle infestation. They disarm their citizens then arm too many less than stable and poorly trained vindicators.

I will pray for that soldier tonight, so sad, what a waste.

If this story is reasonably accurate, the officer should spend the rest of his life in prison.

Things like this shouldn't happen, I especially hate the way it's reported.
