Maybe its not a mystery to you, but it is sure to me. I cant find any info on this gun. Ok here are the specs: US Repeating arms co. (aka winchester) that much I know. Its model # is 200, its a 12 gauge shotgun.
Now when I google it, it comes up as a winchester 1200 or a Sears 200. Either of these guns may perform similiar, but does not look the same. I just want to know what year they made these guns, and if I can still get parts for it as well. Can anyone tell me something about this shotty. Ty:confused:

Need better pics, but I THINK what you have is a Winchester (USRA) 1200, built for Sears in their Ted Williams line as a Mdl 200.

It almost looks like they might have x'd out the Ted Williams part of the stamping in the picture. I saw one like that for sale on gun exchange the seller said according to his research they did that when sears cut the contract short. No date was listed d.

I think your right about the ted williams and the 1200. That is what was popping up on a goog search. If anything it looks more like the 1200. I purchased this gun through a dealer yesterday. The dealer thought it ti be about 25 years of age but was not sure. The only info i found was they closed the factory in 2006 new haven, con.

The Model 1200 was introduced in 1964, and replaced by the 1300 in 1978, however, the Defender series of 1200 was made until 1989. 1989 was also the year that Sears dropped out of the gun business.

So the dealer most likely was in range. Its still mystery though, just there is no perticular ino on this brand and model, just on the sister models. Thanx for the help any way. Im gonna take it to the range today.

What I think that is the Model 200 Ted Williams. The Ted Williams should be replaced with the words flexi-choke somewhere on the gun. The link that I will paste to a site where the gun is for sale is not a hyperlink do you'll have to cut and paste (I wish I knew how to post a hyperlink).

Whatever it is, congrats on the new gun and have fun.

EDIT: wow I actually made a hyperlink!

That one for auction looks almost the same, who knows how many versions of this model is on the market. Anyway the one for auction is 225 where I paid 150 at a dealer, it also has an adjustable choke. Shoots great at 100 yards. Thanks again for all the input.
