Just picked it up last week...she's a real cutie!
Already in LOVE with this special little 1911. I know some of the die hard 1911 loyalists out there will turn their noses up at a compact 1911 in 9mm but its really a fantastic gun. Anyone else own one? I carry a G26 as my daily CCW but looking forward to interchanging this from time to time....

Very nice piece. I love the springer 1911s, all sizes. I really need to get one of their compacts. I would really prefer a cco sized model if i had a choice.

Even if you're a die-in-the-wool glock fanboy you can not compare this 1911 to the G26. [IMG]

Even with the 1 round advantage, the 1911 trigger....and the 1911 steel weight has to be the overriding plus to put this mouse gun over the top in your selection.

    1911 pattern pistol FTW!

    Come on SS215, fess-up!

Your poly puzzy G26 falls way short!

You should try a real MAN's version in .45 ACP!

    VERY nice!
As a relatively new 1911 owner I am falling in love with them every time I see a new one. My next purchase will be a stainless Dan Wesson V-Bob with some sweet cherry coco grips. I do love my 5" stainless Sig GSR in .45 but I know once I lay my hands on a DW its a game changer ;)

    I resent that comment!

If you want a real 9 mike mike experience.....do a MOZAMBIQUE DRILL with your SA and follow up with a Browning Hi Power.

    Checkmate!
Nice pieces Cane....lol you win. I have a real knack for stainless however (I'm 30, the generation of shiny things) but working towards the original blued finish guns. As I said in another thread....saving my pennies for a Dan Wesson V-Bob in stainless over the months. Then, possibly a Les Baer blued compact 1911

Yes, I'm old school, but you've gotta admit, that's one pulchritudinous Browning!

And it shoots as good as it looks!

The nickel Browning - VERY nice!

You guys are too much...lol glad there are some mega 1911 old schoolers on here to compare notes with. Let me ask you this...if money were not an issue...what would be your trophy 1911 gun? Can be fully custom (ie: Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, DW) or just a favorite stock 1911

I still go with a DW V-Bob or an Ed Brown Kobra Carry in polished stainless with some cherry custom grips...for now ;)

I would love to have an original 1911 that actually saw combat in the trenches.

Holy smokes how long is that barrel???? Great looking gun.....is that a Tennifer slide finish similar to Glock's? Looks composite/carbon fiber'ish......very cool gun! Love the rough stippling texture on the trigger guard and grip.

My safe queen will be one day (when my Dad passes away. Is it wrong to wish?...) My grandfather's Colt 1911. The serial is in the high 500's. Meaning it is rollmarked "property of US Navy", and was built in either March or May of 1912, and was in the very second lot of 500 to leave the factory. (I always get those two months mixed up).

He bought it as a surplus sometime between the 50's and 60's, for some ridiculous price, I keep thinking something like 30 bucks is what I heard.

    Oh yeah, it's minty fresh.
