I noticed the butt stock was tucked under his arm, and was surprised the scope didn't moon him! What was the powder chg. and bullet weight for the little fella? I was always proud to take my little ones shooting and getting them interested in the sport.:)

Good quality time with your son for sure... Only thing, he was pretty lucky not to have walked away with a black eye or bloody nose holding and shooting that .50 cal. the way he was. Prolly the only way he could have reached the trigger in which case that particular rifle was not the best one to take him out on?

Not trying to be harsh ... :)

    Kids are great!

I love seeing kids get involved like this. I look forward every year to youth deer season more than regular season. I have 2 young boys 8 and 11 who have bagged their own deer over the last couple of years. Haven't tried the blackpowder with them yet. so far it's .223 and .243. Also a great way to fill your freezer a little early:D

Just a tad too big. But he'll grow into it. I have a CVA Wolf myself and love it. It's good to see younger kids out shootin.
