...how old? post in the poll, we want to see what the typical shotgun being used out there is. post more than once if you have more than one. but remember, it must be being used to count. no wall hangers.

The poll won't let me post more than one so I'll go with the oldest. JP Sauer und Sohn, 16ga round body back-action external hammergun, made approx. 1894. Fluid steel Krupp barrels, some metric number close to 30" length. Choked full and ridiculous, 65mm chambers so I roll-crimp short shells for it. Taking the old girl out for a couple rounds of skeet today, and sporting clays in 2 weeks. She gets a lot of attention at the range, she ain't pretty but she has class.
The poll also showed my vote as 'at least 75' when I selected '100 plus'... at least I think I did...must have forgot the meds today

I realize it is a poll! But just wanted to see some of the old nostalgic shotguns pictured. They are amazing and most have a significant story behind them. The Poll itself does not reflect any of that.
Here is my oldest Shotgun which is a Fox Sterlingworth 20 ga. Full and Full. I did have it restocked and finished years ago! Since the stock was broken and worn severely on it! It belonged to my Grandfather which he purchased prior to the Depression. It is i the 85+ year category. Also I have pictured his Winchester 1890 22 Short Pump rifle he got when he was 12 years old as a gift from his Dad. I am honored to have both of them still today! Killed my first rabbits with both of them! This is what I was requesting to go along with the Poll!:D

    RKB~ LOVE THAT OLD SHOTGUN!

I have several flavors of shotguns. However, my oldest and favorite is a JC Higgins 12GA.Pump with vent rib and poly choke. I've taken countless numbers of Birds, rabbits, and snakes with it.

She is sweet, still locks up tight as a bank vault.
Love your Fox too, it has the proper quota of triggers!

Same here, my 870 Wingmaster is almost 50 so it was more accurate to fudge it over 50.

I voted over 50 and less than 30, but all but one - over 50 - actually fall between those two choices.

I voted for the option with 30 years in it. My Mossberg 500 was purchased used, by me, in 1995; it came with a fixed choke barrel, so it is a pre-1978 model (when accuchoke came out).
