My saiga .410

    This is what I use for home defense. Small house, wife and dogs, I feel safer with the small bore. It's loaded with buckshot and slugs only. It is a fun, fun shoot! Too expensive to plink with though.

    I love saiga's and thats a sweet looking gun how much did you pick it up for?

    You don't have it loaded with alternating buckshot and slugs, do you? Dutch loading has no net gain and almost guarantees you won't be knowing what's coming out of the muzzle in the heat of a defensive situation. Plus .410 slugs are very anemic (in their construction, not in their energy). Buckshot, especially if the Saiga can use the 3" shells for five 000 pellets each, will be far more effective from an HD perspective.

    Sweet gun though, for sure!
