We went into a pawn shop here in town and walked out with a vz24 Mauser. I got it for $165 out the door. The bore is nice, typical vz24. It still has the front sight protector but no cleaning rod. It is not a Romanian contract. It still has the Czech markings on the receiver. More pics to come when I get home. I got this instead of the Yugo M24 I was going to get for $200 on Saturday. What do y'all think? Thanks for any input! It is counterbored. The stock matches the rifle, but the bolt doesn't. It's a century import. It has a small, lightly stamped import mark on the muzzle.

It will make a VG shooter. Good find! If you ever need any real period correct ammo, let me know. Makes what you find now pretty wimpy.

Haha yeah an older gentleman stopped me on my way out and said that I'd want to get a rubber buttplate because the metal one will make a real man out of you. It's not a very long rifle, it's the exact same length as my No4 Mk Lee Enfield.
