After holding and feeling a number of small CC guns, I decided and bought. I looked at Kimber, S&W, Colt, Sig, Ruger, Bersa, Tauras, and others. I made a great selection for me.

A Striker fired Glock G42. One with factory Tritium Night Sights. It has REAL sights on it front and rear. Fits my hand perfectly. It also has a 3.25" barrel instead of the usual 2.7" barrels. And it has polygonal rifling to help velocity. Magazine extender really isn't need for me. But I did order two Pierce extenders which give me one more round in the mags. Those will be here in a few days.
Some were just far too much money for their name and nothing to gain over this Baby Glock.
Ordered it online as the locals all wanted too darned much vs online.

Sights are white in light and glow green in the dark. Will use Hornady Critical Defense FTX in it
along with a FMJ or two. My new close and personal gun. Winter, I will carry a full size 9 or 9x18 Makarov. Most of the year I will carry this new 380.

Is there anything in particular that drove you to pick the Glock 42 over a Glock 43?

Basically, I liked the G42 weight and size a bit more and will have less recoil and muzzle jump.

    Outlaw,
Very Nice Pistol! My wife has a Model 42 as well. It has a great feel, easy to operate for her and shoots great! She keeps it in a hidden compartment in her car. We are using Hornady Critical Defense ammunition in it.
I am thinking of getting a Model 43 9mm in the future not that I need one!
Most of the time I carry a Springfield XDS in 45 or a Khar P-380 in an Ankle Holster.

Feeling better today. Sooo, I loaded up the two mags with some old Winchester White box 380. Jamomatic. Darned ammo didn't have enough power to cycle the slide back far enough. Screw that! Went back in and loaded a mag of Hornady Critical Defense and a mag of Hornady Custom with XTP bullet.

Wow, cycled perfect, sights came back on target immediately. Just sat on a chair and fired at an old Oak stump about 6-8 yards away. The Hornady amazed me with the gun.
I could only aim at certain bark pieces on the stump. Both Hornady shot a group of only about 2" diameter on my first try ever. Me pleased, very pleased with my baby Glock.
