Say hello to my little friend. This S&W Model 317 "Kit Gun" arrived yesterday. I immediately cleaned it and took out out into my backyard "range". Very accurate and fun to shoot. Weighs 11.7 ounces fully loaded with .22 LR. This gun was extremely hard to find as was a decent holster for it!

Not totally familiar with the model but believe it is a J frame? In any case, you will be able to find lots of beautiful grips for it. Not that these grips are ugly, cause they're not, just sayin. Cool gun.

It is a J-Frame. I didn't like the grips when I first purchased it, but they are kind of growing on me now. Gotta' love that fake plastic "ivory". Haha!

Nice gun man, congrats. I've been thinking about a good .22 revolver for a little while now too.

Would like to find an old .22/32 Kit Gun in blue.

That is a beauty. I had a .22/32 Kit chambered in .22 Mag. The best little "Tag" along handgun ever. I traded it off, how dumb.:(

I'm not a big revolver guy but that is pretty cool looking. I like the grips personally. I'd consider getting one of those. Enjoy!

There's nothing like a .44 Magnum Ruger or a good .45 Colt for some good shooting. But then, a little, petite .22, especially loaded with CB caps, just caps off a day for fun!
