I'm going to use this and my 597 to try and take some rabbits and squirrels this season.

If any of you guys need help with those pesky pests just give me a holler.

The grips are a real improvement on these. It feels great in the hand. I can't wait to shoot it and hopefully I will get the opportunity to this weekend.

I love my Buckmark, haven’t shot the CCI Stingers yet, I bought 4 bulk boxes of the Federal Game Shok 38 gr. HP and have only put about half of those thru it, but they work well.
    Great gun:)

I just posted this on a local forum and a guy there told me not to use the stingers in .22auto handguns. Never heard that one before.

Any information on this would be helpful.

Check the case length of stingers against other .22lr. I believe it has something to do with expansion and the chamber of some semi-autos.

Brian, nice gun, I know your one happy guy. I'd also go with the CCI Mini Mags as we having much luck with them in semi auto loaders.

    Nice addition.

That's one of the guns I'd like to add to my own collection soon, as I'm without a dedicated 22lr pistol at the moment.

CCI Velocitors. Accuracy of Mini Mags, but kills like a Stinger.

Nice looking Buckmark, Brian. I've had mine for 25 years now and love it. Yours is very cool looking, though.

Thanks everyone! I haven't seen any velociters here, but I'm going to look for them. What if the fps on them. I believe the winchester X's are 1340 and the stingers are 1640. I also use bulk ammo even though some of them fail to fire in any 22 I have ever shot them from.

I shot stingers in my neos and blew the extractor off on the second shot.

That being said that is a big weekness of the design the extractor could just blow off at any time. Easy as heck to replace.

The stingers use a longer than standard case for them. and that may be the problem if your stingers are long and your chamber on the shorter side you may have extraction issues.

Might also try Federal automatch as well.

I had an older 1995 buckmark and loved it. It had some issues so I got it fixed up with new springs and buffer, that's all that was wrong with it. There's no telling how many rounds went through it before that happened, probably over 10,000 I'm sure. I had fired a few hundred stingers through it with no issues that I know of. Maybe that's what finally wore out the buffer?
After I had it fixed I took it to the range twice and it worked perfectly, so I sold it in hopes of replacing it with a newer version one day. :D
I'm sold on the buckmarks. The rugers are great pistols too, but I prefer the grip angle of the buckmark. The ruger 22/45 grips are good, but too thin.

    NGIB,
I'm going to try some winchester 333's. I've seen them there, but I've never bought a box.

Walmart here has a Federal "Auto Match" bulk box (325ct) that tends to run pretty well in most auto pistols. Round nose FMJ, 40gr, 1200fps...just a solid target round. Can't recall the exact price, probably $11-14.

That's what it looks like, although the packaging may have changed if they've added it to their "Champion" lineup.

I dont beleive they are FMJ. All the ones I have ever shot were just round nose lead.

You're probably right. I guess what I was intending to point out is that they aren't HPs.

I have the same Camper model Buckmark. It's been a great shooter. I'vemostly used the Federal 550 round bulk ammo but have bought some higher dollar stuff just to see how it acted. I was out today as a matter of fact with my Buckmark shooting at a target at 45 yards and did not have any trouble staying on target. I guess it's the cheap ammo but I love shooting 22's at far off things just to see if we can do it.:D

You added a great pistol Goju. Hard to beat the great triggers in those pistols.:)
