Cruising my local gun shop, this little Smith & Wesson Model 60 was screaming my name!! I just couldn't leave it behind...

I love TEXAS! You see a gun, you buy it, and take it home on the spot.

Nice find and no waiting is the best part. There's something to be said for instant gratification. ;)

    Very nice addition Mark.

We have the kind of the same rules here, if you are a CCW holder, you can walk out with it. If not, you get to wait.

    Thank you Gents!

Can't hardly wait to cap off a few boxes. A buddy of mine has this same model and he tells me that he'd part with his wife before he would give up his Model 60.

This is my pocket revolvers collection now.

Kentucky is nice like that too. 5 minutes to call in a BG check, then it's yours. And if you have a CCW, they don't even call.

I got to the range yesterday, and I'm here to tell you that my new S&W M60 is fantastic! 150 rounds of 158 grain Magnums and it didn't wear me out. Although it does have big bark, and snappy recoil. Inspite its light weight, the M60 is very manageable and reasonably accurate. My best group was about 3" at 25 feet. I did shoot about 50 rounds of 38 Specials and went back to Magnums. The specials shot about 1" low at 25 feet. I did have some Winchester 38 Special +P+ JHP's. They were OK, but the Magnums were a lot better. I found some 158 grain JHP .357 Magnums (Monarch brand) at Academy for 19.99 a box of 50. Not a great deal but better than it could be... The Blazers were 16.99, but I don't like aluminum case ammo!
