I've always been interested in guns for various reasons but was never able to acquire one because my father sees guns as a huge liability.
I was able to shoot firearms in Scouts for a couple of years but after that initial exposure was unable to buy firearms for a while. Recently though I got a job and after a couple of months of pay bought a Ruger 10/22 Takedown.
I really like the calm and quiet of my local gun ranges and the concentration and skill needed to accurately shoot. Aside from that guns are just tools, one of the most important imo, and I feel that it's very important to learn how to use them properly and safely.
