If you go to the Alliant website you can order the 2020 reloading manual for free. The loads you were trying to find are in the manual. After I made the request I received the manual in about a week. I love Alliant powder and use a lot of it.

No offense intended. I did not ride up here on a turnip truck. I stand by what I say, It is what it is. Let's agree to disagree and go on our way.

It was about the data. I appreciate the current info suggestions. If you recall I was talking about 338 Win Mag and Mag Pro 4000MR. Evidently, data for that powder is not given. The Alliant rep did refer me to the Speer website. The powder was not in my 2017 Alliant reloaders guide nor their website for 250grn bullets today. There several reasons a powder does not have extensive data. Compare the Western website to Alliant's. My Western 7th. edition was $2.99. This is a bargain. My Alliant manual was from 2017. I'll update.

So the rep you spoke to said they didn’t have the data you needed in the most current issue of their guide? (Sorry if you already covered this)

Power Pro 4000 MR: Data was not in their guide at the time.I spoke to the Alliant rep who referred me to the Speer website that did have the data. Rep did a search. It was the 225gr. Speer bullet. I used that bullet from my notes. A failed memory here. The Alliant rep said he would pass the word along about this omission. The load worked well in my old SAKO with 68, 69, and 70grains. I was using Winchester brass and Winchester magnum primers. I still consider Alliant data to be spotty on the website. Certainly more complete in the manual.

Yeah I agree, I don’t remember what cartridge I was loading for but I had to call them for advice, that’s when I got the manual. It wasn’t a huge issue with mine because I was loading up a pretty common load compared to you

If you think everything that comes out as a new product is thoroughly vetted and documented you are mistaken. Alliant has five different loads for Power Pro 2000mr in 338 Winchester Mag in the 2020 guide. I think that’s pretty good but some people just can’t be happy for no reason. Don’t think they can spend a million dollars in R&D to sell you a 25 dollar pound of powder.

This is crazy making at this point. We are talking about Power Pro 4000 MR. in 338 Win Mag. The load I was using is still in the Speer website as we speak. I'll be glad to answer any questions about my experience. I'm not privy to Alliant's bean counting. It's above my pay grade.

Sorry my mistake there is only 4 listings for 338 win mag for 4000mr in my book. I just have to say I joined this forum to learn and exchange experiences with like people. Don’t want to argue with anyone or question their experience. It just seems your *****ing for no reason. Maybe not your intention but?

I needed to stress the date more of this experience. The Alliant Guide was for 2017. The loading was done in 2018. My gripe has to do with spotty or no data from Alliant. These comments had to do with that time only. There have been more instances since but I got my Alliant Guide coming.:)

Yea maybe you should have mentioned in a previous post that you already solved the problem 2 yrs ago. Or maybe I missed that part.

I would suggest reading posts. You will see that the incident was used as an example. You really do need to read the post. I do hope you do well in your reloading and bullet casting. Take care and be safe.
