Yeah, considering just as many would sell for $140 online.

What's the date on them? I may have bought them, but only to resell for more money. Have you ever eaten that $hit? They also say eating those things regularly is so not good for you.......

I have eaten them. They fed us for 2 weeks after Katrina, and some people around here still have em left over. It's not bad. And the expiration date is supposed to be 4 years, but the only stuff that expires is the candy, the pretzels, and the tobasco sauce. The milkshakes in em were recalled, but other than that, they last quite some time.

I thought the Military ones were supposed to be good for more like 10 years? Recalled milkshakes, huh? I'll pass...

Well, then "they" are quite wrong. MREs are actually chalked full of nutrients. Sure, if you eat three a day for months on end, you'll get fat. But that's just cuz they are also packed full of preservatives.

They're not terrible in terms of taste. Not my first choice in a meal but if I had to survive I wouldn't hesitate.

I believe there's enough calories in one MRE for one person for one day. In other words, if you ever have to actually use them for their intended purpose, God forbid, you can lengthen your supply by only eating one per day per person. Don't pig out.

Yeah, like I said, we had to eat them for awhile after Katrina. Our family only needed them for about 2-3 weeks, but other people needed them for awhile. We even got to where we would trade stuff from em with each other, make creative stuff (mixing the instant coffee and the cocoa is great), and using the heaters to blow up water bottles X3. Just be warned, the gum inside the condiments pack is actually laxative.

LOL, the fact that there is a laxative inside them should tell you something.....

I ate them in the Army. I would have loved to have had some while I was homeless! I would have bought them at that price too.

An Army-issued "Meal Ready to Eat" . Basically safe and ready

nutrition for our soldiers on the battlefield. They can be heated,

but don't have to be. Modern replacements for " C" and "K"

rations of WWII, and Korea fame.

As to the OP, IMO, you got a good deal. 130 for 50$, would still

be a good deal. Unless you intended to sell 1300, you bought

for 500$, I'd give you crap, too.
