    I can think of 19 American made muscle cars..! How many can you name..?
    After we get the cars , we'll get to Horse power , but first , lets name them 19 cars............! :D

    I ain't counting no "SUNBIRD" , it was only an ugly assed Charger..! :p:)

    That El Camino , It was Pretty , but take to the strip and see what happens!
    Take's more than Horse Power to make a muscle car.....!:p:)

    The Thunderbird was a luxury as the Nova , ETC. , was a car your grandmother would drive.....! I'm talking from the ground up and not something caught up in the "MUSCLE-CAR WARS"..! They,d stick a HEMI in a VW if it would sell..! :p:)
    That don't make it a muscle car according to the NHRA.........!

    Those many of these cars where HOT , they were not the TRUE BIG BLOCK Muscle Cars....426 , 427 , 409 , 396 , ETC. not the little 300,s somethuns..?:confused:

    everything i listed came with a V-8 at some point, either standard or as an option. even a smaller lightweght car, with a healthy small block was a muscle car.

    No Plymouth GTX? '64 Ford Fairlane? Mercury Comet? Allard? Hudson Hornet?
    There were lots of "muscle" cars. They just didn't slap silly stickers on them until about '69.
