Hey my father in law just asked me what I could find out about this shotgun. I'm not a big shotgun guy myself so I figured I'm bring the questions here.
He can pick up this gun at his lgs for 439 I looked at an online seller and found it for 440. So after transfer he would be better off at his lgs. Anybody use this gun? He is looking for something to use for both turkey and deer. Are there other options for this use. At the same online seller I fount that the "equivalent" rem 870 camo combo was a good deal more. Help me out here if you can.

    Thanks Nick

I sold a model 835 years ago, if I remember correctly I sold it because it says "no slugs" on the barrel. I wanted a more versatile shotgun.

That price is good if its a new gun. I had an 835 and loved it. The only thing is i didnt like the cantilever scope mount. I ended up getting rid of that barrel and got one with rifle sights.

This combo comes with a rifled barrel with rifle sights, and a smooth barrel with bead sights. And it is new.

Good price then. No slugs in the smooth barrel due to it being overbored and they can end up lodged sideways in the bore.
