I bought a 12 gauge last Saturday. We put 700 rounds today in it skeet shooting. Not even a hick-up. I could not be more happy. Most the exact same as a Mossy 500. You will be super happy!

OP. Get the Maverick, you will not regret it. I had mine for 17 years before giving it to a friend so his son could hunt with him. I'm sure that someday the son will hand it down to his son or daughter, I am pretty sure it will still be getting used long after I am gone. A 20 gauge is an excellent do anything shotgun.

i have had a few of the M88 Mavericks in 12 ga that were fine shooting shotguns for the money. my current one is a 28" barreled 5 shot that i have had a couple of years now and had a few hundred rounds through it, and still working just fine. i am sure the 20 ga will work just as well and serve your needs well. the Maverick M88 shotguns are an excellent value in inexpensive shotguns.

You can't buy a 20 ga Maverick 88. The 88 is only made in 12 ga. They have a deer model, security model and a field model. You can get Mossberg 500 in a 20 ga. I usually shoot 100 rounds a every weekend through my 20 ga Mossberg 500, without a malfunction.

Yup. A 20 gauge slug will work wonders on a hog. Or some buckshot.

i think Old Crow is correct. there does not appear to be a 20ga Maverick listed currently. if wanting a shotgun in 20ga you might want to look at the Remington M870 or the Mossberg M500.

I just sold a 20ga maverick. Mossberg sends us at least 7 a month.

They do have a maverick 20g. I am looking at the black friday add. And I went to dick's to check it out. What size barrel would work for hunt. Im guessing not a short one.

Inexpensive and dependable. Two qualities that are hard to say no to.

I own an AR, a Marlin M60, a Mosin and a Mav88. Out of all four the firearms the Maverick is by far the easiest to clean.
