Memphis is having a gun buy today. I have this old shotgun that when you pull the bolt back it just keeps comming until it and the gun are separated. This is without pulling the trigger. I have deemed it unsafe and am going into town to trade it for a 50 dollar gas card and two tickets to a grizzily game.

Any reason I shouldn't do this ? I have no interest in the gun as well.

Probably a model 85D or 185D. Sounds as if it may be missing a screw, or sear may be worn. These were utility grade shotguns- not fancy, but pretty durable and reliable. In GOOD condition- about $85. I have an 85D and a 183D (410) that I use as a loaner, let grandkids shoot, etc.

Thanks c3, upon closer inspection it is a 185ka model. As we were passing the lgs I trade with, I decided to stop and see if he had any interest in it. I told him what I planned on doing with it and why.

He ended up trading me two mec-gar 17rd mags new in box that fit my cz75spo1tactical for the shotgun. I'm very happy with the trade.

Main thing, I don't have to go into the Memphis hood.
