I believe they were the predecessor for the 920. What do you think of 'em?
Bumping for some input.
I had a 9200 and wish I'd never gotten rid of it. I know own a 930, and it's just not the same. I've owned plenty of 870's, 1100's and 1187's, but the 9200 was my favorite. I ended up trading it off they year the stopped production. If you can get one, go for it!
This one is super clean, wood stocked and priced at $269.
If you don't want it I do............
I did the paperwork on it today and now have the dreaded 10 day Kalifornia waiting period.
When I got home I ordered a Choate 9 round magazine extension and an improved cylinder choke for it. It will be a 9 + 1 semi auto shotgun that was made in the USA. It will do duty for HD and I like having that capacity right at hand.
It already has a scope mount on it like the mount on the FN SLP, so I'm going to put a 1x red dot on it.
Oh, I can't wait to see this!!
It's a little longer barrel than I'd prefer for HD, but it handles surprisingly well in spite of its length.
I'll also change out the recoil pad for a Kick EEZ sorbothane model. The pad that's on there now is old and dried out.
That barrel can be cut down, you know!!
I like the idea that it could also be a game getter. 24" is long for HD, but it really does handle surprisingly well and I like the 9 + 1 capacity it gives me. Later on if I decide I want to go shorter, I can always cut the barrel down then. (I'm in love with the 10 round idea )
That is Kali legal??
Yes it is.
I'd have to put a plug in it to hunt.
Wow, I am surprised that they will let you have 9 rounds in the tube. Way to go. I still need to change out the front sight on my Mariner. I picked up a red "Fat Bead" for it. After the flourescent blade on my Ithaca, that little brass bead just doesn't cut it on the Mossy.
The gunsmith/FFL says it's legal and I can't find anything on the DOJ site that says different. It's a sporting shotgun without any of the "evil" features like a removable mag, pistolgrip or folding stock, bayonet lug, flash hider, etc...
Cali restricts mags to ten rounds and it even complies with that.
