I was at the shop and couldn't decide if I wanted the 590 or 930...930 with pistol grip and 590 straight synthetic stock. My big question is pump or autoloader for HD?

Either can work well. It's al about learning to run the one you've got properly. The pumps are usually a bit lighter. The autoloaders are usually a bit gentler to shoot.
Both of the guns you are trying to choose between have very good reputations. The 590 is a solid performer, and the 930 has a good reputation for reliability and as a soft shooter for a 12 Ga. autoloader.

So it comes down to which one do you prefer, and want to get good at running?

I've been a pump shotgun guy for a while, but I'm liking the Mossberg 930, the Remington 1100 and the Benelli M1.

If I had my choice id go with any of the benellis in the M series. But I don't have it like that lol too expensive. Idk I have a Mossy 500 and this next purchase would just go towards my shtf gun/ HD

What do you want to get out of this gun that you aren't getting out of your 500? Is your 500 set up for hunting?

Yes...real nice wood furniture and can't find it in my heart to just keep changing it n what not. I originally wanted a straight synthetic stock 500 but I've found a 590 for like 349.99 or something...plain jain bead sight...what I'm used to what I like. I feel like pumps need less maintenance and I would trust my life with the one I have now...so why not get one with a bigger mag :) and its cheaper than a 930 lol

Alright. That all makes perfect sense. What you would save over the cost of the 930 would buy some shells for sure.

    Yeah...and I just did a search on disassembly...930 has too many moving parts...oh and I was mistaken it's a 500 crusader/pursuer I think....7+1 capacity...

What do u think...pump vs autoloader for shtf/hd

Pumps are just that more reliable. I too like the Benelli Inertia Armi System for an autoloader, not gas guns. For me that goes back to when they said HK on them...

Yeah I'm the same way. Gas guns seem like they have to many parts....moving and non moving.
