    Greetings All:
Just picked up a brand new Mossberg 500A with the Knox Sidewinder drum kit. Fellow had it and never used it, brand new condition, not even a scratch, $200 cash with extra magazine and other goodies like long barrel and wood furniture for shotgun.
My question is will this gun take 3" shells along with the 2 3/4" shells? No where on gun does it say?, hopefully it will.

My new Home Defense weapon, :D

    THANKS in advance,,,,,,,,,,,,,LastCast

Pretty sure all Mossy 500 and 590 series shot guns have 3" chambers. The A simply defines it as a 12 ga.

It should have it stamped on the barrel.

It is stamped on the factory barrel, and yes, they are 2 3/4- 3 inch chambered. However, it sounds like the OP may have an aftermarket barrel, and if that is the case, then OP, you need to check with the manufacturer.

All missus should be chambered up to 3" unless it'd a 535 than it's chambered up to a 3 1/2" chambet
