Has anyone experienced the saftey on a mossberg 500 slipping from the fire to the safe position under the recoil of heavy loads?

It tends to happen more when i shoot buckshot or slugs if that helps

I had that

... and it was with skeet (light) loads. The safety on that one was plastic, with a little spring-loaded ball detent underneath. I paid my gunsmith $5 plus the cost of the part, and he showed me how to replace it myself.
Here's the interesting thing: for the replacement, I had a choice of metal or plastic - and the metal one was a lower price!
