does anyone know where to find accessories for the mossberg 500e 410 ga for home defense and will the same 500 12 ga stocks and forearm and heatsheilds fit the 410
The 12ga parts don't fit. A 410 is not optimum for a fighting shotgun. Not saying it can't get it done, just that a 20 or 12 ga would be more efficient.
For inside the house, standard wood stocks work fine. Heat shields aren't really required until you have pumped several rounds through it.
The barrel on the field model doesn't really get that hot. The security models have a thin barrel that does get hot after just a few rounds. I would leave the .410 intact and just buy a 12 ga security model. You wont regret keeping the 410 or buying the 12 ga.
If you live near raleigh, nc and haven't butchered the .410 I would consider a trade.
