Was shopping for ammo this morning and found this Mosin Nagant for $129

Russian 91/30 Tula 1940, serial numbers match on everything (bolt, barrel, etc). Looks like this will be a 'fun gun', if it shoots well open sights I may take a deer with it at some future date

I figured 'what the heck'. Something to do for next to no investment. Well, de-greasing the s.o.b. has been QUITE the time investment :)

Nice!! That's what I payed for mine a year ago, also all matching numbers. You gotta get you one of those 880 round crates. You should love it, I know I love mine :D

Careful with that gun, they will multiply. That is a nice rifle. SGA Ammo has 880 rounds delivered for under $200.00.

Lots of fun!! Get some 178..182gr heavy ball. They shoot more accurately.

That is a pretty good deal. You probably should take it to pieces to make cleaning easy; they are very easy to take apart and re-assemble.

Transfer fees would make it too expensive. :(

    And in the meantime...
    Half the world away...
A young farmer boy in a drunken village... is sleeping in a haystack and dreaming that one day... he will get to hold a real Savage... or even a Mossberg! ... just like this grandpa's shot-up Mosin he is stuck with for life.

He knows for a fact that Americans have the best, the newest, the coolest of rifles in their possession.

Black. It's Thursday night in the Western Hemisphere :D

Step back and see a little humor in chasing old obsolete Russian and Chinese guns in the land where you can have the best of them all.

If only they were to be had as cheaply as the Mosin.

Guess what Einstein? I already HAVE those good American rifles. Has it dawned on you there might be other reasons why someone might want to own a piece of history? Look up 1940 Tula sometime. Be enlightened if you can

I found some humor in it. But still yet, I like my Mosin's and other surplus guns.

Because the Mosin is my thing. I know it well. I don't think you understood what I was saying.
