Hey guys went out the other day with the Mosin Nagant 91/30 doing some shooting 800 yards away at a steel torso target. Made a short video of the adventure. Hope you all enjoy!

Holy cow! Congrats. 800 is hard alone, with a mosin even harder, iron sights impossible! Did you put any thing special on it? Aside from the buttpad and bipod?

I am a Mosin man, but I will never make that shot. Quite impressive, especially with obsolete Soviet junk. (way to go!)

Thanks for the comments everyone! The only other mods is the front sight post is custom tapered to cover about 1-2" at 100 yards as opposed the stock post which is 12" wide at 100 yards. Also my friend bedded the action and near the front of the barrel. Before it was "officially bedded" I just used some electrical tape to bed the barrel near the front barrel band.

This is where I'm at. It's a very impressive shot. And I do attempt some pretty interesting shots but I don't think I've ever attempted anything over 250 yds with a mosin. ..Irons or scoped. THe vid makes me want to try it though :D

Man I thought I was doing good trimming branches at 75 yds with a 22 or hitting a peppermint candy at 100.

    That was a hell of a shot!

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

I used an uncle mikes wood screw swivel stud and just installed a harris bipod on it.

I used to be able to shoot iron sights but since my eyes went away I have to use a scope.
Nice shooting by the way, just wish I could see good enough to do it again.

This was shot out in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, very nice land out here.
