My wife was recently given her grandmas old model 94, I know it was made during WWII(apparently they didnt keep as good records during the time because i cant find a specific year) and It was rusty. My father in law hosed it down with WD40 and freed up the action, but their is rusty oil on every part that moves. My plan is to clean up and re-blue the rusty barrel, clean up or replace the mag tube, and just clean up the action replacing any parts that are beyond repair. I wont be messing with the stock, as it has character but is in pretty good shape. I have looke down the barrel, it is clean, and the action seems structurally sound. Once i am done does anyone see any issues with firing it? I plan on inspecting every piece as close as possible, but are there any parts I should pay particularly close attention to?
