Thinking about a millet 1-4x scope for my ar 15. Does millet make good scopes?
Millet scopes are pretty decent. I honestly have not heard any complaints about them but then again I have not used them myself.
I think they are wanting too much for what they are.
If your looking for a solid hold zero scope on the lower end the nikon monarch 1-4 are pretty damn good.
What kind of shooting are you looking to do??
Thinking about the millet designated marksman scope 1-4x. Supposed to be good out to 500 yards
i would pass. after a little digging on what owners think it seems millet doesnt warranty the electronics and more than a few arent happy with the glass.
I love my Millett DMS-1 scope. I have it mounted on a LaRue mount so it is easy to get on and off my AR rifle. You have the advantage of using a Millett like a red dot scope if you practice with it or you can use it like a 1 to 4 power variable scope. What's not to like about a scope that gives you the best of 2 worlds?
I have the DMS-1 on my m&p 15/22 and live it. Had it on my AR10 and moved it to the 22. Needed more magnification on the 7.62 platform
I usually do not buy lower priced scopes, Usually Nightforce , USO, ACOG's etc. But I inherited a Millet DSM-1 on an H&K 308. Other than the turret clicks being mushy and hard to feel once zeroed in the scope has performed way beyond my expectations. I really like the reticle.
Thank you for your advice, I really want a reticle I can pick up fast and the added range would be nice too
