Just bought a custom AR but now with all the restrictions, considered selling it or trading it for a 1911, possibly a Wilson Combat or an Ed Brown. Wanted some ideas on how much I could get for it. Here are the specs
CMMG forged 7075 t6 lower receiver
S&W marked flat top low pro upper
Magpul ctr collapsible stock
DPMS lower receiver parts kit 5.5 lb trigger pull
Bushmaster bolt carrier& bolt key
20" heavy chrome lined barrel.
SOG forearm grip
UTG aluminum quad rail w/ rail covers
Hogue overmold grip
Badger tactical charging handle
Enhanced trigger guard

There are no restrictions unless you live in NY or somewhere of similar elk. Now, if you are looking to make a quick buck, this is the time to do it, I guess.

If you have offers to trade for one of those 1911s right now I would jump on it quick. In a normal market your rifle would be considered a Frankenstein ar15 and probably wouldn't bring in more than 700.00, but right now with the demand, its worth its weight in gold

I do live in NY. I guess my next question would be, could I go to an out of state gun show and sell it or should I go to a LGS

Gonna check out the PA gun shows. Maybe I'll get lucky. For a private sale, would I still need to do the background check at a LGS or could I do it at the show

Interstate face to face transactions without an FFL are illegal.

You can go to an out of state gun show and sell your rifle- to the holder of an 01 Dealer FFL. It is illegal for you to sell directly to an unlicensed resident of another state.

As far as BUYING at an out of state show- you can buy a rifle or shotgun- again- FROM a DEALER- if the gun does not violate law in your home state. Expect to get turned down by dealers that cannot figure out what NYS law IS now.

You cannot buy a handgun outside of your state of residence- period. Not FTF from a private person, nor from a dealer. It would have to be shipped TO a FFL holder in NY- and btw, New York law will only allow a NY dealer to ACCEPT a handgun from another dealer.

Now would you like a link to the Realtor.com website, and the phone number for U-haul? Sorry, bro.
