When using corrosive ammo for a mosin what's the maximum number of rounds I should send downrange before giving it a cleaning? I'm gonna clean as soon as I'm done shooting but if I'm shooting all day should I stop every 100 rounds or so?

Many as you care to shoot. Leaving it untended for weeks ata time is what causes the rust to start not your round count.

I bought a dedicated bore snake after every firing session I wipe it once, an when I leave the range I get it wet and run it through again, then clean when I get home.
Maybe a little over board, but for 15$ and a few seconds of my time, there's nothing to worry about.

I clean my Mosin at home after I have finished firing. I have used two methods, one is a patch with WWII bore cleaner of which I have a can, Or dis-assembled I pour hot soapy water down the barrel from the chamber end. Either method run patches until they come out clean and then an oily patch for storing. The bore should be free of that oil before firing again, so a dry patch before firing. Lots of trouble ? No, but letting a rifle bore rust and corrode is a sin !

Round count won't matter as long as it gets cleaned the same day...

I got lazy one time and blew off cleaning for just a day and rust started to appear so it doesn't take long.

I'm interested to see how many you can shoot before having to have your arm surgically re-attatched...;) I think one time I managed to throw 120 downrange and I was sore for 2 days...mans gun! :D

Every time you pull the trigger, you are removing the corrosive salts from the previous round. It should not matter a bit, from the corrosive issue, how many you fire. Just get the salt out after the last round.
