I recently aquired Mauser rifle at a sale.. It appears to be a Model 98
But without a Drop box magazine. Came with a flip mount Bushnell 3x9
scope all for 125.00, Flip Weaver Mount is going to be History very soon.

It has ( CESKOSLOVENKA ZBRGOLOVKA,AS,BRNO ) STAMPED IN IT
ALONG WITH 91531 With the letter D below.. Also has the Letter C stamped
in the Bolt.. Appears to be the Bent Bolt for a Scope.. This weapon
has been sporterized with a nice stock & I think rebarreled to a 30.06..
It may be orginal 30.06.. Has 30.06 Stamped in the barrel.

In my seach I can't find good Pictures of 98 without a drop box magazine
all the good pictures have a drop box.. Did they make this model a internal
    magazine, is this a 98K??

    Thanks For Looking Randy

Im no expert, but sounds like a chech vz-24. if so that is supposed to be a very good mod98 variant. My cousin has a custom .243 built on that action.
I believe most of the military mausers did not come with a drop floorplate with the exception of the 1909 Argentine. May be a few other exceptions.
    Good buy!

Thank You for replying, I have 1909 Agentenain 1909 with the drop Plate.
This weapon has no place for a plate, it's all internal, short trigger guard
    that appears to be brass..
