Just picked this one up today as part of a trade. marlin model 120 with the 18.25 inch slug barrel. The fit and feel are great, and i thought the rear fold down sight was interesting. Some pics.

This is the first one I have even seen, much less handled, but I can't believe how smooth it cycles. It looks quite similar to my grandfather's old Winchester model 12.

Now if I can just find someone selling one of the 38 in barrels for it.......

great old shot gun !!! I purchased on many years ago and put thousands of rounds thru it. I finally retired it because the safety and trigger group was getting worn and I didn't trust it any more. It still shoots fine and I use it for clay target shooting and it still pumps em thru like it did when new.

Right first letter Bobski, wrong breed. Marlin made the model 55 Goose gun.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marlin_Model_55

One of these is on my bucket list. The top 10 are as follows.

    1. Kessler Model 50
    2. Marlin model 55 goose Gun
    3. Marlin model 55 "Swamp" Gun.
    4. Sharps Coffee Grinder Carbine
    5. Smith Corona 1911 A1
    6. Low S\N Colt Peacemaker
    7. Low S\n Colt 1873 Army
    8. Springfield 1903 03\A3
    9. Springfield 1903 03\A4
    10 Colt Monitor

There are others, but the ones I most desire are not very exotic or high end. I will admit that on the full list there are a handful of expensive and hard to find firearms, but most are pretty tame.

mine shows some wear from use, but everything is still good and tight. The wife and I will take it out in the spring to see how she shoots and handles. just enough wear on her to be nice and smooth at this point.

    Thanks Tom.
