Which do u prefer marlin m60 or Ruger 10/22 ?
Personally the Marlin m60
Marlin 60...way more precise outta the box.
But I really prefer the Marlin 7000...hope Remmy makes a 795 heavy-barrel version one day...
And seriously...more aftermarket MFR's need to get on board to make stocks for the 60/795's...
right now Boyd's is making a fortune with wooden laminates of several kinds, but I'd like to see a few more tactical stocks...
You can only mod so many airsoft P90 stocks to fit Marlin 795's before you get bored...
I have both. The Marlin is hella accurate but the Ruger is oh so reliable. I shoot American style (fire enough rounds to hit something) so my preference is Ruger.
Par with the consensus
hmmm the question is why i want to own both.. marlin great out of the box. ruger. looks soo sexy. after a couple mods
So can a Marlin...
Marlin 795 in a Ramline Lockarm stock, SR Bipod & Razor Sling...
Later changed the stock with an ATI-SKS Retrofit kit to make it a folder.
Wifey's Marlin 60 in a Boyd's Ross Thumbhole stock which was Natural Laminate...stained pink.
But, the Calico M-100 makes me feel all Patriotic...
For all those who like the Ramlines...just found out a few minutes ago that they are BACK IN STOCK!!
Limited Quantities @ $15.40 each!!!!!
Stock, Ram-Line Lock Arm, Synthetic
You will NEVER find a Ramline for a Ruger 1022 this inexpensively!!
Oh, and don't forget, if you want to make it a Folding Stock, get an ATI SKS-Retro-Fit kit for about $9 at yer local gunstore/online dealer.
I like this one
I thought it was a thread about guns.
I sold my 10/22 because it wasn't as reliable as I wanted. I ended up replacing it with a Marlin 795 after getting the itch for another scoped rifle. The Marlin is probably about the same reliability-wise, but it vastly more accurate. Even with the scope on 3x, hitting the 12" gong at 200 yards is a guaranteed 10/10 affair. I've only shot one group at 100 yards, and there were 9 shots inside 2", with one flier bringing it to 3". I was using Aguila Interceptor ammo (40gr@1470fps), which I've heard is relatively inaccurate.
Well, they aint 44's but look to be high caliber
She's holding a Calico and stars cover her other two Guns
I own both, and they are very different guns. The Ruger wears a 3-9x40, and the Marlin is factory irons. I like mag fed sometimes, other times I prefer tube. I will admit the Marlin is out of the box accurate.
I had a 10/22 for a while. Mabye I got a rare lemon but the gun was a jammatic with Ruger factory magazines. It was traded for a Marlin 60 and I have been very happy with it.
I've got both, and they each have their +'s and -'s.
But both are fun and accurate.
Marlin 60, I've had mine since around '72. Accurate as can be and fun to shoot.
I've said it before....
And I'll say it again. I. Love. My. Mod 60.
About an hour ago.... I made a head shot on a squirrel about 50 yards out. I used my bone stock Ruger 10/22 DSP with a 3-9x40 set on 6.
