I found a man to rebarrel an old Ballard Pacific action I own but now we are having trouble finding someone who makes barrels suitable for these old rifles, preferably an octagon or one with oct/rnd profile. I'd like a 32-40 or 38-55 chamber with the proper twist. Any Ideas?

does it have a barrel now? if so you might consider having it sleeved to the caliber you're wanting.

that's just plain disrespect. good luck with trying to bring an oldie but goodie back to life. but the tip on the new Ballard company might just pan out.
