I posted last week about a neglected 25N that I was able to acquire.

It was rusty, dusty and in need of some TLC.

Previous owner varnished right over the labels on the forend.

    Small nick in the forend.

Worn stock with runs in the varnish.

    Sanded clean and smooth.

Refinished in Red Mahogany and sealed with clear satin spar urethane.
Rust on barrel removed with 000 steel wool.

I hope to range test it later this week before buying mags and mounting a scope.

Looks nice. Good job. I wouldn't mind an old bolt .22 like that.

good j0b man you gotta love them classic marlins!

now I would take this to the next level by making it full auto. since its a bolt action that will require ALOT of rubber bands....

Nice! I happen to have a Marlin 25 myself, mine being the youth model. I've had it since I was a kid and I still take it out from time to time, they are sweet shooters.

Nice work, I like the red, it reminds me of those old ruskie com blocs. My first gun too. I realized how bad the trigger was when my 7 year old couldnt pull the trigger. A trigger job is next on my list.
