Does anyone know if Marakovs will ever gain collectors value, they seem to be getting harder to find.

Well, mine has a value to me!:D (see picture)

They seem to be getting more popular. The prices have risen since I bought mine and I haven't seen any at the last gun shows I've been to. With more manufacturers of ammo coming on board I'd think more people might choose them. Either that or buy the other guns shooting the Mak caliber.

I hope so. I like the fact that I bought mine so cheap (under $200), but it would be nice to see the values rise a bit. Once in a while I think of selling mine, but for the couple hundred bucks I'd get it isn't worth it.

Some guy in a pawn shop tried to sell me one for 400.00. I passed.

While the CZ-82 (or more correctly, the Vz 82) shoots the 9mm Makarov cartridge, it is not a Makarov (or Pistolet Makarova) gun. The Czech pistol is more complex and operates slightly different from the true Makarov.
